About Wengerd
A Local Crew You Can Count On
Wengerd Home Improvements, LLC is more than a local contractor. We're a team of builders, problem-solvers, and tradespeople who take pride in every project we finish, whether it's a simple roof repair or a full pole barn build.
Property owners across northeast Indiana and western Ohio hire us because we pair old-fashioned workmanship with modern construction standards. Led by owner Daniel Wengerd, our crew brings a strong work ethic, real attention to detail, and a commitment to doing right by each client. That's the foundation of our reputation, and we work to live up to it on every job.
What Sets Us Apart
When you hire a contractor, you want someone who respects your time, your property, and your investment. Here's what working with our team looks like.
Local Knowledge
As a Decatur-based company, we know what Indiana and Ohio conditions do to a roof, a wall, and an outbuilding.
Proven Experience
Hands-on work across residential and light commercial projects, from roofing and gutters to decks and custom post-frame buildings.
Respect For Your Property
Our crew shows up on time, keeps the job site clean, and works efficiently to stay out of your way.
Clear Communication
We walk you through your options, answer your questions, and explain our recommendations without pressure or jargon.

Full-Service Expertise Under One Roof
Plenty of contractors handle one or two trades. We cover the full exterior, so you're not juggling separate providers and separate schedules to finish one project.
Metal roofing, shingle rejuvenation, pole barn construction, siding, decks, seamless gutters, and complete new construction are all handled by our own team. One crew across every phase means better communication, consistent quality, and fewer gaps where things get dropped.
Core Values That Guide Our Work
Honesty – Fair pricing, straight recommendations, and doing what we said we'd do.
Hard Work – Showing up every day and giving each job our full attention.
Quality – Materials and craftsmanship chosen for lasting value, not the quickest finish.
Service – Our clients are our neighbors. We treat every project as a partnership.
